The city of love is always Paris. Every spring, we find many couples travel there to get into a great romantic surrounding in the city with full of celebrations. So we find many plan their trips to Paris to bring a very loving proposal to their partners. That was exactly the plan was them. But unfortunately, all of them were canceled due to Coronavirus Pandemic all over the world.
That was the case of this Fredericksburg couple. They had planned their romantic trip to Paris with a plan to propose but suddenly COVID-19 happened. But no worries, they found something even more wonderful.
As to Erika, they have planned to go to Paris to see her sister with a lot of plans. As they had very stressful days before the week, they were in much hopes for the Paris tour. But suddenly, the Coronavirus happened to make everyone troubled. So thinking about the safety of themselves and also others, they have left away from the trip to Paris.
As she was saying, she is a highschool teacher highly concerned about students and colleagues. She said they were very much worried about cancelling the plan as they were thinking about a big change. But when they found things getting worsened day by day, they were really happy about the choice they made. Even they were not able to end their over 4 years dating to an official marriage according to the plan, this has made an unforgettable event finally.
A week after the Paris plan went and quarantine started, Luke has said Erika that he is going for a walk around downtown Fredericksburg together with brother. But this has made Erika think “Why” as this is something different from his usual routine. What happened then in Erika’s words are as,
“He took me to the alley that led to Market Square, where he had drawn a large image of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe in chalk. He put roses around the base of the Eiffel Tower and took me there. Then he knelt down and asked the question! It was so sweet and thoughtful!”
Even though the plans turned upside down with Coronavirus, they were very happy to say “Yes” to each other in Fredericksburg, where they feel home for years. So they said the engagement was perfect and extra special. And with this amazing surprise, they have felt so positive in this down-times.
What do you think about this amazing proposal? We like to hear from you!
